It sounds like when the ps2 loads cd based games but only about 1 quarter as loud and vicious. the originals all sound quiet with a bit of soft squeeking and make deep clicking-like sounds (well not really clicks but loading-like sounds). is this somewhat normal or should my burns sound exactly the same as the originals? how do ur burns sound???

That squeaking is the lens focusing. Should be absent on originals, less pronounced if at all audible on good media and noticeable on cheap media.
