After installing the game, you have to UPDATE it before this fix will work. Go into the Start Menu to 'EAGames/Need For Speed Underground/Check For Update and let it update. Then, and ONLY then, will this update work. You may have to have Java installed before the update process works correctly if you are running WinXP (
www.java.com)
If the game doesn't run after installing, do a defrag on your harddrive. My friends PC wouldn't run the game until he did a defrag. Don't know why that worked, but it did.
