reason i ask is a guy wants to buy it but he wants it just to play origianls online. I never tryed playing a game online with the system so i didnt know if u could turn the chip off. I told him when i play moives i hold reset for 5 secs is that turning the chip off ?

Yeah just put it in PSone mode and if it doesnt boot your backup ps2 game but will boot your original ps2 game then your all set.

Yep. Just hold reset until the Sony screen comes up.
