Making a copy-protected music cd.

How can I make a copy-protected music cd that can be played anywhere, including in a cd drive, but cannot be copied with normal programs such as nero or easy cd creator. I'd prefer it if I could burn the copy-protected music cd directly and not have to first burn the cd, make an image of the cd, then make the copy-protected cd with the image(waste of a cd), but if that's the only way, I'll take it.
