I had also the problem that Worms3D didn't start (black screen and return to desktop). The reason was my damaged OpenGL subsystem, which came with my new video card (switched from GeForce to Radeon), the Detonators weren't deinstalled properly. Therefore I used the Driver Cleaner as proposed on www.omegacorner.com and reinstalled the Omega Drivers for the ATI card once more. Problem was gone. Perhaps you also test your OpenGL with a simple other Application or "OpenGL Extension Viewer" (they won't start either).
