I have both Nero and Alcohol 120% installed, and retail CoD is running fine on my box. They are not however, running any 'virtual tray' or anything else in the background. I simply don't let any app on my box run unneeded tasks in the background until I need it. (Except Windows
 )Have you tried just shutting down any processes controlled by those programs?
