Inserting cracks

Hi I am a newbie to this but it is great to learn. My question is how do I insert a crack onto the disc no1 when it is already full? Also is there a new backup program coming out soon or should I buy the retail version of alcohol.(I posted a message a while ago and someone suggested it, I have tried the trial version and it kicks ass!)
