newbie
hi all: i bought an xbox and had it chipped by a third party 12 months ago, dont know what chip it is but it works. i now have a dvd writer and want to back up my games as i have a 5 year old son who tends to leave the disks out of the box and they get damaged. is there a program that i can use to copy the disks directly from the pc or do i have to connect the xbox to it. any help will be most appreciated, please be gentle and dont make anything too complicated for me to understand. thanks

If you have a bigger HD i.e. 120Gb you could dump your games via PXhdd loader and run them from the HD or rip them to the Pc and copy them back to the box manually. In order to do this you will have to have Evox installed with a modchip/bios capable of the Hd swap. Check out www.xbox-scene.com for more info or check out some of the stickys on here.
There is know way at this present moment to copy a Xbox game via your Pc's dvd-rom, as the xbox uses a different file format. You have to ftp your pc to box to copy originals. Last edited by HANS_COBBO; 19-10-2003 at 05:44. |
