Hello,
I've got an old pc (as I only use it for the internet). I'm toying with the idea of getting a drd writer so I can backup my PS2 games. Problem!! The Pioneer A04 (thats seems to be recommended alot on here) requires a processor of 1000 mhz. My pc is an old Celeron 466 with 64mb of ram. I've plenty on space on the hard drive to copy images of DVD's but I need a writer that will work on my crap spec pc..... can someone help... please? Matt

You do NOT need a 1ghz processor. Not sure where you heard that. I had a P3 750 and had zero probs. I believe the minimum requirement it 400-500 mhz. It is 800-1000mhz for using some of the supplied software.

Yeah i got a old 400 MHz puter with a P2 celeron running WIN 98 with an AO3 dvd-r writer. Its slower than my new puter but makes great backups.

I read about the 100mhz on Ebay where the A04 was for sale but I'll ignore that then.
Cheers.
