- I doubt widescreen had anything to do with it, most of the movies i backup are widescreen
-did you backup the full dvd or movie only? I do movie only (much better results) - give dvdshrink a try you could get it here: http://www.dvdshrink.org after u pick a language a new window shows up click on "where" (on the bottom) then way on the bottom click on "DVD Shrink 3.0 Beta 5" to download.
