Yeah, the only difference with a version 8 compared to version 7 is upgraded bios and slight differences on motherboard.
The version 9 (50000 series - built in IR unit/Progressive scan/quieter Fan etc) is only available in Japan at mo ( according to scee anyway!) although there was an australian dude on the forum going on about having one the other day. Regards
