Overclocking Lite-On CD-RWs?
I read somewhere that older versions of Lite-On CD-RWs can actually be "overclocked" to higher speeds.
For example a 42x Lite-On could do 52X with "special" firmware! Does anyone know where to get that firmware? I got a 52x/24x/52X with latest OFFICIAL firmware! |

Well since 52x is the highest speed media you can buy it wouldn't do you any good. Look here for firmware info.

No
I wouldnt advise doing this as in the long term it heats the drive up and can blow up or maybe just not work if your drives 42x thats fast i got a 32x cdrw and it takes 4 minutes to burn 700 mb thats fast.
