Just to clear up on the ATIP discussion...

It's not relatively new - it was first introduced around Safedisk 2.4 if I remember.
Pressed CD's (originals) do not have an ATIP. An ATIP is only on CD-R's as it is needed by the burner to find out the dye type, manufacturer, length etc before burning. Pressed cd's dont require to have an ATIP and don't have one.
Thus Safedisk does a simple check during loading for an ATIP - if present it shows you the door.

It's only a secondary protection of course due to it only being effective in burners.

ATIP checking can also be found in Securom games.
