It is near impossible to develop a program to rip ps2 games, the reason is is that its not like PSX where developers have to use only ONE format to encode movies. With ps2 they have tons of options to do it so determinning which video type is on a dvd is a pain in the ass and ripping it is near impossible. Eventually in maybe a year or 2 a rogue coder might sit down and try and crack it but until then capture cards are the only way.
