Unhappy PSX Games with Messiah 2

I recently had my V5 PS2 chipped with the Messiah 2, and I'm unable to play ANY PSX games...at all....they just boot to the browser saying it's a PS2 disc. My PS2 DVD-R and CD-R Backups work fine, as well as my originals, but none of PSX games work. I can get the originals to work if I turn off the chip (Hold reset for 5 seconds) But I am to understand that I should only have to do that with some of the newer ones. Is it possible the install was botched? I've checked the forums and I'm unable to locate a "booting method" but if there is one, that's bs cuz I bought this chip so I wouldn't have to go through that process. Any help is appreciated.

-Thanks

Check the boot procedures, it's a sticky.

OK...I got that.....but it doesn't solve the Black and White problem. The originals are black and white, unless I turn off the chip. What's the story with that?

How is it that you missed the boot procedures "sticky" when its the 4th post from the VERY TOP of this forum.???

Anyways.....

Is this V5 a NTSC or PAL unit?
Are the games NTSC or PAL?

correct me if im wrong on this anybody, but it might be a psx color fix, which is sometimes not fixed when the installer puts in the messiah 2.
