SoftICE

Does anyone know how to get SoftICE (4.05) to work on XP??
I'm tryin to get into debugging and I'm usin Heiw and W32Disam to look at game .exes, but i wanna use SoftICE, cus a lot of tuts refer to it and sofar ive had to skip those bits . I've installed the NT version and it just dont wanna work (error upon manual activation) and no activation when set to activate on boot.

Pls help this NOOB (I'll help u in the long run )
