just a point worth remembering pioneer 105 has superb ability to read scratched dvdr

check out the report at cdrinfo.com

ive got couple old dvd rebacked them up scratched rolled slid along floor
fails to backup in any drive i tried it in except pioneer 105 perfect backup

i wonder if 106 is as good??

104 fails
