It's a shame to see things getting like that.
When ps2newz first started out, I didn't personally become too involved in it. Yes, I joined up (didn't everybody  ), but I was hardly a frequent poster over there.Saying that though, they did have a good bunch of friendly and regular forum members (and probably still do) Hopefully it isn't the start of something similar to that of ps2ownz (is Z still running that?)
