Looking for a new ps2 modchip

Hello, I am going to get a modchip so i can have it installed on mah PS2 which i believe is model # 39001. I want to be able to play PS1 Games (Burnt and Original), Ps2 CD-Rom (Burnt and Original), Ps2 DVD Rom (Burnt and original), and DVD Movies (you guessed it ... Burnt and Original) with no problems. I heard there's really only two chips that can do this easily, the Messiah2 and Apple. Cost is an issue with me so I'm going with the Apple which is suppovisely half the cost of the Messiah 2. Problem is, there's like 3 apples, Apple 2, Apple Pro, Mini Apple, and i have no idea which is the one that can do all that easily and is cheap. Can anyone help me with the name of the chip and the cheapest place you know of where I can order it from?

Note, i'm not planning on sending mah ps2 there to get modded, I just want to order the chip itself. Thanks!

P.S. Also, does it come with instructions or anything? Or there's a good website for it with pictures? The guy modding mah ps2 can chip Magics no problem but he's never worked with an Apple so if it's a different process, he might not know how.

Actually there are five types of apple chip. The original, apple 2, mini apple, apple 2 pro, and the mini apple pro. You can find all the info you need here

hmm... which one do you recommend? Correct me if I'm wrong but it says the Apple 2 Pro will load up pretty much everything easily on pretty much any model # PS2. If so, that sounds pretty good, as long as it's cheap.

Yeah I would try the apple 2 pro. It is the latest apple chip and supposedly compares to the messiah 2 performance wise.

hmm .. how much do the apple 2 pro and the messiah 2 usually cost? My friend said Apple would be bout 30 and Messiah 60 but the Messiah 2 V1.30 was only 35 dollars on this site http://www.themodmaster.com/ . Does he have a good or bad reputation? Thanks again, your a huge help in this big desicion.

Anyone charging only $35 for a Messiah...

Either knows a source that none of the rest of us do...

Or is selling you a clone.

P.S. My Apple - which is an original Apple - works great.
