hi
did you try the ribbon cable [brown one] from the lazer to the main board this happend to me but it comes up disk read error
on every thing just open your ps2 and on the top you will see it lift up the clip and push the cable back in and push down the clip if this is a new ps2 don't remove the sticker on the back just send it back
