Pissed off!

I've got a traxdata cdrw4432 and its only 1 month old but for some reason its decided that its only gonna burn at 2x although all the programs(Clonecd,Cdrwin,Discjuggler) think that it is successfully burning at 4 speed....I'm not new to burning but anyone got any ideas!?)...I've reinstalled win98 and it's still the same...The speed test on nero also thinks that its 4x but it's taking me fukin 36 minutes per cd!....I don't think that its always done it cause i would have noticed..

For fear of sounding like Lotsofshit666, get a new recorder..... I had the same model, and had similar problems. Mine would record @ 2X, no matter what I did. If it's so new, take it back to the shop and swop it for a HP9100 (the same price ish). This is a brilliant drive that does selfbooters no problem....

you are better off getting a yamaha or plextor rather than a HP.

plextor and yamaha's have the least problems with self booting dc games.
if you have read posts in this forum, how many people have you read posts that have problems with their plextors and yamaha's. i don't really recall any.

HP does not make their own burners, they get someone else's burner and put it under the HP name.

Cheers Guys...I had a scsi yamaha 4432 be4 & it's only just died.....But then again i've had it 4 over a year and #### knows how many cds it burned.......It looks like someones going back to the shop then!
