reset button trouble?? or messiah 2??

Yeah, thats what i thought!

I shouldn't be able to play dvds unless i switch it into the dvd/ps1 mode with the reset button, but put in the dvd and it plays. Makes me wonder if my chip is any good. i cant switch modes obviously to check, but i'm gonna take it apart tonight and see if anythings wrong with the cable. I tried playing my ps1 backups and it didn't work so it can't be in that mode i guess... any other guesses??
