ps2 memory card showing corruped data

my sons ps2 mc is showing corrupted data and when you try to delete it shows "delete failed"

Is this the end of the line for the mcard or does anybody know how to delete the corrupted memery

does anybody know who it could of become corrupted and how to make sure it does not happen again

Try and load/save a game and pull the memory card out in the middle of the process. This works for me. If not, you could try getting hold of a GS Disc as these let you format MC's too. Hope this helps...

Ive tried taking my memory card in and out like you said... but it seems like that only works on PS1 cards? i returned it to the store instead...
