Hi there,
I managed to loose my Sega Dream Key Disc. My Sega Dreamcast has never been used before to access the internet, but now I would like to try playing a few of my games online. Does anyone know of an alternative way to set the system up so that I can connect to the internet on it to play my compatiable games online? Thank you. |

I reckon the best way to edit the internet settings is to download Planet Web 2.6 browser. Its really good (you can change/specify proxy settings, DNS...)

Cheers. |

You can get it from right here. It was a free browser so it is legal. www.dccopyworld.com at megagames has both 2.6 and 2.0.

Don't mean to be getting picky...
Hey again,
I don't mean to be getting picky, but I heared there's a version 3 out now? Anywhere to download this, or is it not free like versio 2.6 on the web site... If you need to contact me out side of this forum, my e-mail address is [email protected]... Thanks... |

No, it's not free. It cost $20 from Planetweb when they were selling it. They discontinued it at the end of this past year though. You could try emailing them to see if they'll still sell you one, but it's probably a long shot.
You can find them on ebay for more than I'm willing to pay, but in many ways, you're better off with 2.6 anyway. 3.0 is nice, but it crashes a lot. And for the trouble you'd have to go through at this point to get one, I'd say use 2.6. People have tried ripping it, but it's to big to fit on a CD. I don't know of anyone who has succeeded yet. This is also an issue where I say if you want it, and can get it from a legit seller, you should buy it anyway. I hope we've been helpful. ![]() Later, -Ex Last edited by Excalibur007; 31-05-2003 at 09:27. |
