I'm assuming those AVI's are DivX, yeah? Well, unless you DVD Player supports that format, and only a hand full do, then the only way you are going to get those files to play is to convert them to either VCD, SVCD or if you have the means, DVD. Depending on how good the source is, I would just settle on VCD/SVCD. Take your pick from the guides HERE
