Yeah, booting the DVD copies isn't entirely straightforward, I had to REALLY fiddle with my Neo 2.5 (see my post on that sticky thread).
But as Bighap said, if you're going to start running DVD copies, I'd SERIOUSLY consider upgrading your chip. I ordered an Apple, and have stopped using DVD copies until I get it in... don't want to hurt my laser, which is currently pristine. - Gurm
