Sure you can. Install a good DVD software (Nero might do, but I recommend RecordNOW MAX from Stomp), and extract to an image.
When the burner arrives, burn the image. Simple. As for which mod chip, I always recommend the Apple - the Magic is lousy, the DMS is SUPER lousy (especially at $100+), and the Messiah is great but overpriced ($60). - Gurm
