The warez groups usually get their hands on a copy before it's released from one of their contacts - they then crack it and release it.

Hmmm very clever and cost effective to. The developers ect should ought to drop their prices and mabey warez wouldnt seem such a bargin to some people. (mind you i also understand that producing games can be costly).

Serial numbers have been the most effective copy protection, especially now that people demand to be able to play games online multiplayer.

I must say i agree totaly. Now is the time of online multiplayer.
