Simple ques..CDR or DVDR for PS2 b/u

I want to make back up copies of PS2 games. Should I buy a DVD-RW or can I do them on my Plexwriter CDR-rw. I am about to buy a ps2 console and I just bought some magic 3 mods. And oh yeah where do I get the games to back up. The $$$$$$ is rising quickly. I dont want to buy a DVD-rw if I don't have too.

I would definately purchase a dvd writer.....Ripping PS2 dvd based games to cd-r can be done BUT it can be a pain in the A$$... And NOT ALL games can be ripped.....
