the v3 laser is mostly very weak
would have problems reading dvdr even if chip install was good normally better brands of dvdr are the only ones that will play your best bet is a new v7 (pity u not ask before wasting your cash v3 is worth nothin to me even if i get it fixed who wants to buy a old v3 with nearly dead laser
