diablo 2 just diablo 2

ok, about a year ago, my buddy picked up diablo 2
he copied it, and we played.

i came to came copy world, to look for a way for us to both play, at the same time, without haveing to use the original cd to ####t the game.
i found a scsi daemon, that popped a grean demon face into my system tray, and added a virtual cd rom, and a virtual scsi adapter.
i was able to use my copied disk to access battle net, and NEVER had to replace the original exe.
anyone still got this program?
i have bought the game myself, and have a backup, and want to play it.

well, to answer my own stupid question....

here's how to do it.

make iso's of the disks using blind write, so as to catch the bad sectors...
once thats done, do a full install, mount them one at a time, and as requested by the install in daemon tools.

i am testing whether or not i can run from my copied disk 2 or not while running daemon tools, but as the game is currently running, and updating from battlenet, i think i will wait a while.
but either way, it si running perfectly fine so far.

if you have the space, you will of course want to use a mounted disk 2, cause it is way faster than cdrom, but i myself don't really want to do that, i think 1550 megs is more than enough space for ANY game to take up on my hard drive.

you need help with this, e-mail me.
if your looking for a serial number, bite me, i can't help you there.

ok, yeah, works with blind written disk 2....

so the first, and third disk can be copied without protection quibbles...
disk 2 needs something to the effect of blind write,a nd daemon tools running with emulation enabled.

i am playing fine off of the burned copy of cd 2, after doing the whole instal from iso's made with blind read, and mounted on daemon tools one at a time as the full install asked for them...
then i removed the mounted disks, burned disk 2 with blind write, and deleted the source files and iso's, and it plays just fine, on battlenet, allowed me to download patched directly, in game....

also, SHOULD allow updating, adding expansion pack, and lord of destruction and all that with no trouble or having to swap your exe or anything.

BOT is on a distinguished road
How thick are some people neo644?
Look at the top of the page, see what it says?
'DAEMON Tools -/- unSafeDisc -/- PlayBackup -/- Insektors -/- DumpPlayerX -/- SafeDisc Analyser'

ok, now i had assumed that if you were looking here, you had ALREADY looked at the pages about d2 on gcw...

anyways.
for those of you too lame to actually do your own looking, get daemon tools here.
####://go.to/gamefix

turn on the safedisk emulation.
