I need to post an update here on the NTSC GH-022 v8 question.
We have been testing the pre-production versions of Messiah 2 v1.23 and have found irregularities with booting DVD-R that cannot be resolved by laser adjustment. For a reason that is still under investigation, DVD9 backups (Hong Kong "Golds") appear to boot more reliably than plain DVD-Rs. Consequently the v1.23 edition of Messiah 2 has not yet been put into production.
