1.3 bf1942. The game wont start

Hi ever one

I have installed the 1.3 patch, then replaced it with the patched bf1942.exe file size 8.6 mb and the used the ims.. something on it, and the game does not start at all when i doubleclick the exe file.. please please help me somone, can't be without the game longer

Use the serch button.
And replace also mod.dll
and read the .nfo file

I have replaced the mod.dll in the dirctory bf914/mods/bf1942 and there replaced the original mod.dll file with the downloaded pacth file (size 3kb, is that small and is it corrcted?). STill the game won't just start

what shall i read in the nfo file, it only says what I have as hardware

I had a similar problem. But in my case I simply forgot to change the 'renderer.allowAllRefreshRates' setting to '1' in the VideoDefault config file (Folder: Battlefield 1942/Mods/bf1942/).

I'm running Windows XP and this game has issues going from the desktop to the Intro Video at the default refresh rate. Everytime you apply a patch it resets the VideoDefault config file to the default settings.

Otherwise the no-CD patch works well. It even worked before I installed the PlayFix.

If U have downloaded the GCW crack for 1.3.
Read the NFO file.
U are totaly out in the air.
Becuase it says how U should install the crack.
The mod.dll should be 3 KB so it correct.
And also install GameSpyHost.dll. I've have no clue if is gonna work batter. But U should try. And READ the NFO file by Team Fairlight.

The GCW has reales a new Battlefield 1942 1.3 crack. Call Playfix. Don't ask me what it means, becuase the thing is new for me.
That is only 5 KB hmm...
Any way try that file if not other works!

Is someone outthere who made BF1942 v1.3 work for online gaming???

It still doesn´t work for me...only on one server...hmmm.....

I had the same bug with BF1942 not starting. The trick is to install the game as version 1.0 first and load it up. This creates some configuration files that are required for the game to load.

THEN, install the official 1.3 patch and then your no-cd patches.

Works fine.

every patch resets this, so you have to repeat it after every new official patch
