I think the PS-X-chage disk works well, just as good as any mod-chip I have except you do have to swap disks. The trouble you'll find is the X-change disk can be detected and you'd need to use anti-mod codes the same as if you had and older mod-chip. It is a good alternative to a mod-chip. I have two Playstations with mod-chips and I use the PS-X-change disk for my PSone.
I did have one playstation ruined because of a faulty mod-chip, nothing to do with installation the chip was programed wrong. |
