i have a lite-on 16102B (16x10x40x) cd writer but when i use clonecd 4.2.0.2 i get some odd happening. from the log information whenever i write a cd (be it music, data, games etc) i get a read speed of 2876 kbs (16.35) and a write speed of 488 kps (2.77) these flucuate a little but not a lot. this is with maximum read and write speed set.

however when i use other progs like nero, cdrwin, blind suite i get full porential and write speeds of 16x

i always use the same media which is 40x compatible.

ne ideas for the slowness? i have tried re-insalling clone many times but still the same results

When you unistalled clonecd did you remove the remnants left over in the registry.
ie. Start, Run, Regedit, Hkey_Current User/ Software/ Elby and then Delete.

Sometimes old registry settings can screw up fresh installs.

It could well be conflicting with other software i've had problems
with Clonecd and Easy cd creator in the past.
