Cannot get connect to Xbox.
I have a 10Mbps Ethernet Hub, i've tried connecting with a crossover cable directly from my PC's NIC into the Xbox. And tried 2 straight cables, one from the NIC to the HUB, then the other from HUB to Xbox.
This message is displayed each time i try and connect. Connecting to 192.168.0.157 Connected to 192.168.0.157 Port 21 220 Please enter your login name now. USER xbox 331 Password required for xbox. You also mite wants set the IP address of your computer.
I my self done trust Windows enough to obtain IP address automatically, all my systems I set the IP address to what I want.

Does the IP of my PC have to be the same as the Default Gateway on EvoX. When i boot the EvoX CD the Gateway is set to 192.168.0.1.
I changed the password to Chris via the EvoX ini file. Would that have something to do with my problem. Also. my OS is XP Pro. Do i need to change anything. Thanks

I believe you have to turn off your firewall or configure it.

If you have a firewall on, it is ussually shown in the bottem right corner of your screen, next to the clock/sound control. I use zone alarms, so it shows a small picture of it there. To turn it off, I just right click on it and hit "shutdown Zone Alarms Pro". I have no idea which one your running (if one at all), so it might be different.
