PS2 V7 No Soldier Modchip DVD+R

First of all excuse my following bad english. I'm a little out of practise.

I read a lot of webpages about Mod Chips, the versions of the Playstation 2 and DVD Backup.
Two months ago i bought a Ricoh MP 5125A DVD burner, wich only can burn DVD+R/RW medias.
So i know, PS2 equal to or above v5 can handle DVD+R so i got a V7 PS2
Because i am not a genius in soldering a modchip i decided to buy a No Solder Modchip. A few pages say there exists No Solder Modchip vor PS2 V7, another pages say there aren't. SO my Question is: Does a No Solder Modchip really exist or work on V7 and can i boot DVD+R backups using the AR2 change trick without having an original DVD Game?

I hope somebody can help me. I'm looking for the cheapiest way for getting this problem solved, because the really good mod chips inclusive the installation service is a little bit expensive here for me.

Greetings form germany.

Consider the cost of a no solder modchip and swap disc & all the relevent hassle. Then consider the cost of a hassle free no swap mod. Save up & wait til you can afford it, you'll be glad that you did.

The thing is, i got AR2 for 10 EURO, and i can get the No Solder Modchip also very cheap. But getting a Magic Modchip oder Messiah inclusive the installation will cost me about 120 Eur. I can afford it, its not the problem.
But in my opinion, why should i spend a lot more of money, when i can get it in a cheapier way.

Go for it, but have a look around past posts and you will see that lots of people who had swap mods like the no solder switched to direct boot mods because of the swapping hastle.

What about Magic 3?
Because the features are nearly the same but Magic 3 is cheaper.

Magic 3 has had its share of problems. You get what you pay for. You will have problems with some games with the Magic 3. Messiah 2 has been proven to work with everything.
