Your NHL2002 has safedisc2 protection.
Part of the mechanism is unreadable sectors on the cd, so don't fret when you see that in the log file of clonecd. I just means your reader will take some time to make an image file. (tick "fast error skip" in CloneCD to speed things up)
BUT, your burner cannot handle safedisc2 properly so you will eventually get a cdr burned that the game won't run from.

In the end, forget Nero for PC backups. Always use CloneCD.

agree with crispy but i want to add that keeping nero in your hd wouldn't be a bad idea!(i keep it for compiling mp3 cds)

@Themis

Fair shout mate. Nero is not bad for mp3 burning.

Sadly, Jiffy's problem will still be his burner, and Nero struggles with dao-raw necessary protections (and can it read+write subchannel? can't remember!)

@Jiffy

Your problem is that your burner can read protections but cannot write them.
Download Daemon Tools from www.daemonshome.cjb.net and make a clonecd image of your disc. You can then run from this image on your HD without the need for the original cd in any cdrom.
