Ok. Seeing as the same thing is happening in all the software you have tried, & all your drivers etc seem up to date, it is pointing to one thing.
THE CD ITSELF!! Try cleaning the cd. Maybe there is a heavy fingerprint or a scratch at begining of cd that the drive can't cope with. Also, wot did u use to burn the cd full of drivers/patches with originally? Can u burn to image on a friends pc? Regards, Einstein
