If you have the right codec, virtualdub should be able to convert SVCD to Divx. If that doesn't work try to open the SVCD with DVDx and save it as a divx. I'm not sure what versions the divx player allows, but Divx 5 can be found at www.divx.com, and 3 and 4 can be found with a simple search on any major search engine.
