Re: PS1 Patching Help
Quote:
(1) First of all you need a Mod Chip installed in order to play backups. Or you could try a boot disk, the images of these are found below in the last link. (2) Use CloneCD for making 1:1 copies. Check to see if your burner is fully supported i.e. RAW-DAO 96. And do a direct copy of the game that you mentioned, you don't have to patch it in order for it to work. http://www.elby.ch/english/products/...writers/a.html (3) CDrwin is used for creating 'BIN' file images which are needed by the patch program PPF-O-MATIC. This program allows you to patch your games with 'Trainers' e.g (Level selects, unlimited lives etc.) and NTSC2PAL selecters aswell. Also, you can patch your games to remove Anti-Mod Protection. This protection is added to a few PS1 titles, what happens is, is that the game will display a message saying that the software has been terminated due to the console being modified just shortly after boot-up. Goto - http://www.megagames.com/psx/psx_ppf.shtml There you will find the patch program and patches for PSX games. Hope this helps.
