AOM Troubles

I've downloaded your No cd loader thing, but it just doesn't want to work on my computer. I've download other patches aswell and none of them seem to work either.

Your crack says Aom.exe is not protected with safedisc 2.70.30, and then nothing happens

Other cracks I've got just wont launch. When I open them, just a blank error box comes up.

Other ones say 'This is not a valid Win32 program or something like that

I'm sure i've installed them correctly, I don't know what the problem is.

I hope you can help me,

Cheers Ahaz

Make sure you use the correct version crack with the correct version of game, and make sure the language is the same. Also, the loader needs an original installation to work, if you applied any previous cracks it won't work. In my experience it's far simpler and works far better if you just make an image of your original cd with clonecd and mount that using daemon tools. It works for everything and with all (future) official patches.

Well, I downloaded directx 9.0 and I think that my display driver might need updating.

'Hardware accelerated Direct3D 8+ is not available because the display driver does not support it. You may be able to get a newer driver from the hardware manufacturer.'

Direct3D 7 test results: All tests were successful.

Direct3D 8 test results: Display driver does not support API (DDI version too low)

Direct3D 9 test results: Display driver does not support API (DDI version too low)

This is what Direct X told me...so does this just mean I need a better display driver, whatever that is? How can I get one of these, can I download one or does it have to be purchased.

Yes your display driver needs an update. What graphics card are you using ? And I wouldn't be too fast to install direct x9, NO game demands it yet and there's undoubtedly a lot of bugs still in there.
