Laser OK???

Is the drive a little noisy when loading? > Doesn't usually get noisy but when 'on the way out' will have problems reading dvdr (Recordable Dvd Disks)

I am thinking of changing the modchip to to a swap magic no soldier kit. What do u think. > Yeh thats possible but if the drive is ok then it would be easier to get a messiah 2 modchip installed. This means that your son will just simply put the disk in and it will play like the original. No messing around doing swaps etc.


When I boot I boot with a regionX cd not ar2 or GS2 - does this mean that it is a neo chip. I can not found any guides that mention the region X option. > If i'm correct (95% sure) the dvd region x will not boot dvdr's. (Recordable dvds) it will only boot the cd based playstation 2 games (And most are dvd).
