They just send the correct boot code through which tricks the machine into thinking a original game is to be played. Basically buy a new TV that handles a NTSC signal if you have the Cash. Pretty cheap nowadays, as this is the best option in my opinion as there aren't many solutions around to solve this problem.

Ta for the info - I don't have the money for a new TV now, nor a DVD burner. I'll have to live with a squished picture for now.
