If the executable is not safedisc wrapped (the english patch was not) you could try doing it by hand following the instructions in the other Morrowind thread.

I've just checked my original v1.2.0722 eng version executable and the byte-strings are the same as for 1.3.1029. I feel confident that there's a good chance the german version is similar enought that that could work.

Searching for 83 F8 05 75 29 will get you to the first check, etc, etc.
