Safedisc2 copy not working in all drives

The error message I get with the Aopen and Toshiba CD-Rom drive is the ~xxxx.tmp one.
I was lead to believe this was an error message generated when an SD2 CD was copied wrongly. (Digital signature not correctly copied, I got this message also when I copied the CD with my other Plextor 124TS burner, which doesn't handle the EFM encoding correctly)
I must say that I haven't tried reading the image using the 1208k burner and I have used a CD-RW(I wanted to test if it would work at all)
