A few questions I need answered.

Whats up every one? Hope your having a good day. Got a few questions I hope I can get answered.
I have finely talked all my buddies into buying modchips all at the same time so we can buy them at a cheaper price. And I get to be the lucky SOB who gets to install them…

Any way, I have decided to go with the Matrix modchip, for its easy installation and the fact that its BIOS can be up graded via CD. When these modchips get here I plane to sit down one afternoon and mod all six XBoxes.

Three of the boxes are set up on XBox Live, and the other three are not.
From what I’ve read if you connect to the XBox Live servers with the modchip’s BIOS active you will get banned? True or False? I would hate to get my self, and my buddies screwed out of that.
Also another reason I picked the Matrix b/c its BIOS can be turned on/off just be resetting the XBox, and Mr. Gates will never know the box has been moded.

I just got a few more questions:
What software do I need to make an image of the XBox game and copy it? And will a standard 4.7GB DVD R work for burning the game on to?

Once I have the image of the game saved on my hard drive will Nero work for burning it on to the black DVD?

Rob and I will be the only ones able to burn the games b/c we are the only ones with DVD burners, Rob has a Sony, and I have a Philips. Will this work for burning the images of the games on to black DVDs?

Thanks for your time,
rms2001

1) True. You'll get banned.

2) You should read some tutorials. You can't copy a game on a PC - you need to do a bunch of stuff to your XBOX console and FTP it to your PC. Do a search here, then read the tutorials at xbox-scene.com.

3) What's a black DVD? DVD-R discs work fine.

First of all, you have to flash the chip first, it doesn't come pre-flashed with bios. I have never done this, so if you don't know how, I can't help with that.

If you had a dreamcast and made backups of the games, then you will be somewhat familiar with what you have to do. (Except xbox is nowhere near as complicated)

After you modded the xbox, you have to set up an "evolutionX" dashboard onto it. This replaces what the xbox boots to, also allowing you to FTP to the xbox through a network using a program called FlashFXP (or other ftp programs).
Dashboard tutorial: http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/evox-install.php

After you set up the dashboard, open the tray of your xbox to turn it on, then after the xbox loads up, put a game in the tray and close it. Connect to your xbox with flashFXP and browse the "D" drive. This is the dvd-rom. All you do is ftp the files on the xbox into a folder on your PC.
Copying tutorial: http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/evoguide3.php

Then, use a program called "Xiso" to make an xbox iso image. If you burn the files strait to the dvd, they won't work. Just burn the iso image with either Nero, or PrimoDVD.

Oh, and any dvd media should work, as long as the game fits on the disk. And for evolutionX, burn it to a cd-rw so you don't waste a dvd (and it might be updated)

After I install evolutionX theres no way they can find out its on there when I or my friends connect to XBox live? Just as long as the modchip’s BIOS are not loaded when any of us try to connect to XBox Live correct?

After I have copied the game files to my hard drive, and made and ISO, burned it with Nero, I can just pop it in a moded XBox and play? Just as long as the modchip’s BIOS boot before the XBox’s original correct?

Two more question I can think of right now:
There is no need to install evolutionX on the other XBoxes but Rob’s and I’s? B/c we will be the only ones who will be making copies of the games. Am I correct on this?
Looking more into this I don’t think Rob has the know who to make all this work, theres Scott but he doesn’t have a DVD-RW.

Is there another dealer selling the Matrix? Easybuy2000 is the only one I have seen, and as a free DirecTV viewer I see they sell HU loaders, and I know they can be busted at any time.

When you setup the evolutionX dashboard, and and go on xbox live, you will get banned. If you play online, then you will have to keep switching between the evoX, and original dashboard.

Only the people copying the game needs to have evolutionX on their xbox.
