replacing xboxdash.xbe?!?!
I just downloaded a guide for installing Evolution X on my box, and it says that I should backup my original one, and instal the one from the cd. Is this really necessary? What kinda of changes will I have when I boot up my box without the EvoulutionX start up disc? Will I be able to replace my original? Thanks

Yes you can replace yuor original dash. You can keep using the start up disc if you want. Booting with out it will give you the original xbox dash.

Other than what what'sit said, you only need to setup the dash to copy games (not to play them).
I only use it to select games and such that are running off the HDD.
