We are seeing much the same on the odd v7.
Sometimes the Azimuth adjustment does the trick. Always go for that. Rarely does calibration help so we leave it there. Often the brand of DVD-R matters; Traxdata always OK when we haven't needed to adjust anything. Magic 2 has its own tendencies on the odd install - like the noisy SCEx that defeats DVD-R booting. So have a Traxdata DVD-R handy! I would (Pele said).
