Try disabling your sound card (sorry to bang on about the sound thing but I've just had 3 days of torment...) restarting with it disabled and see if TW2003 works (without sound).
If it does, then you've narrowed it down, if it still doesn't then sound is probably not the problem. BTW if you have the noCD could you bung it over to me?? Dave.
